Marzamemi is a small village, off the beaten track, not far from Pachino, in the southern most tip of Sicily. The village grew around its Tonneria (cannery) and is part of a Sicilian Tonneria and Fisherman Village" Route. Its main square provided the location for Gabriele Salvatores's "Sud".
