A very interesting expo is taking place at the Hayward Gallery in Southbank - London. A special installation has been provided by artist Yayoi Kusama (Ascension of polka-dots on the trees). The artist wants to remind us that we are just polka-dots lost among billions of similar polka-dots in the universe. People keep personalising those polka-dots, though, and divert themselves lost among those trees. And this looks to me like a metaphor in the metaphor: yes, we are polka-dots but each of us is special and unique in its own loss of meaning. Dedicated to a very restless one I don't actually know.
